Party Poker Announces Millions 2018 With Whopping $20M Guarantee
One of the largest poker rooms in the world, Party Poker is embarking on one of the most ambitious tournament efforts we have ever seen, the 2018 MILLIONS Online. They announced that players will compete for the biggest guaranteed prize in online poker history of $20 million on this annual tournament.
Party Poker hosted MILLIONS Online 2017, the biggest event in the site’s history, only a few weeks ago. The event was hugely successful and attracted 1,047 entrants that generated $5.135 million prize pool.
The guaranteed prize pool was $5 million and it was easily surpassed so the site feels it has the resources to support the record-breaking prize pool for the event in 2018. The president of Party Poker Live, John Duthie, is certain that they should return the favor to always supporting players, and go for this mind-blowing online prize pool of $20 million next year.
The Millions Online event will take place from December 1 to 4, 2018 and will attract Millions enthusiasts from all over the world. The Qualification tree will be similar to this year’s satellite program and qualifiers will start from $1.10 “Central” level and work their way up to $5.5 “Feeders”, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals.
Since Party Poker wants to include live players, even if they don’t normally play on the website, they will award 10 seats or $53,000 in value to the best players in every Party Poker LIVE MILLIONS Main Event.
Top ten players in every Live Millions, starting with the one at King’s Casino in Czech Republic on 10 February, will be awarded with a $5,300 seat in the Party Poker MILLIONS Online Tournament 2018. Those seats are being added by Party Poker, not taken out of player’s prize winnings.
The other way you can win the seat is through a Millions Online Leaderboard. More than $3 million of direct entries for the MILLIONS Online event will be given via weekly primary leaderboard competition starting 5 February. Each week, top ten players on the board will be awarded entry to the $5,300 buy-in even. The promotion will also include mid and low secondary leaderboards that will give out $22, $109 and $530 satellite tickets to the top 20 players.
Just last week PokerStars announced its Players Championship and 300 Premium Packages as well as adding $1 million to the prize pool and now Party Poker raised a bar with $20 million guaranteed prize pool at the MILLIONS Online Event. Poker players really have something to look forward to in 2018 and 2019.
