Best Ongame Network Poker Rooms

The Ongame Poker Network used to be a big dog in the online poker industry, boasting a client base from all over the world. A big part of Ongame Network’s success was its popularity in the massive American poker market. Before restrictions on American online gaming, Ongame was regularly on the list of the three busiest networks in the world. Though the site restricted American players, a big part of their business, the network is still a popular poker room for European players. The Ongame network is currently struggling to stay in the top five busiest networks. As of this writing, the Ongame Poker Network is made up of nearly 30 casino and poker room skins. This OngameNetwork review is a look at the most popular network skins and a few other details to get you acquainted.

Software

Reviews of Ongame’s proprietary software are mixed, to say the least. Yes, Ongame skins are almost all Mac, Holdem Manager, and Poker Tracker 3 compatible, but without a recent update, the software is plagued by lag and compatibility issues. Many players complain that the gaming tables have a cluttered look, a byproduct of Ongame trying to make their interface do too much.

The standard deposit bonuses on the Ongame Network are worth up to $600 at a match rate of 100%. Affiliates and rakeback sites exist to increase that deposit bonus up to $700, so shop around before you join. To earn your bonus, you accumulate Player Points based on rake. For every 700 Player Points you earn, you get $70 moved into your player account. First deposit customers have 90 days to clear the bonus.

Having said that, some rooms at Ongame have their own bonus programs. One of the reasons we like Betfair Poker so much is their unique “choose your own bonus” program, where you can pick a first deposit bonus of $50, $250, $500, $1000, or $2500. Each level has its own clearing requirements, with the bigger bonuses generally requiring more play.

Games

At the Ongame Network, you can choose from the following games: Texas holdem, pot limit Omaha, Omaha high/low, 7 card stud, 7 card stud high/low, and 5 card draw.

Best Poker Rooms

Though there will probably be 30 skins on the list of OnGame Network sites by the time this is published (OnGame is working hard to increase their holdings), there is really only one out of the whole list of OnGame Network Sites that can truly be called one of the best Ongame Network poker rooms. Betfair Poker is superior to all other Ongame Network skins because it is Windows and Mac compatible and has the most robust tournament schedule.

Traffic

Competition at the Ongame Network, like the competition at any big poker network, ranges from very loose at the low limit tables to only a little loose at higher stakes games. If you’re joining the Ongame Network to really earn some cash, you better have some serious poker skills thanks to the loose and passive poker played on the site.

The OnGame network is not as explosive in terms of membership as industry giant PokerStars, but there are plenty of players to keep all different tables open all the way up to high stakes ring games. If you’re a high roller looking to play about $400NL, you are probably the only person who will have a hard time finding competition.

And thanks to the fact that OnGame is partnered with lots of sports gambling sites like Betsafe, there are a number of poker players on the Ongame Network who know nothing about poker. That means bigger profits for those of us that have some poker skills.
