888Poker Is Sponsoring WSOP for the Sixth Time

888Poker has been an exclusive sponsor of World Series of Poker (WSOP) for 6 consecutive years. Now, the online poker brand it has confirmed that it will stay as a lead sponsor for this year’s WSOP.

According to the collaboration, which began in 2015, 888poker will keep the exclusive right to host the most popular event in the world. This includes official online satellite qualifiers and online WSOP-themed promotions.

The operator will also gain widespread online and TV exposure through PokerGo and ESPN’s coverage of the WSOP Main Event.

888 Holdings senior vice president of B2C Guy Cohen spoke about the extended partnership. “We are very excited to be sponsoring the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas for the sixth year running. We’re proud to be longstanding partners of WSOP, the biggest and most popular poker series in the world,” he added.

Cohen also stated that it is a part of our commitment to make poker more accessible and exciting for their customers. They will be able to qualify to the biggest poker event of the year directly from 888poker’s online platform.

The world’s most prestigious poker series is expected to host a record number of players this year. Last year’s event saw a record 187,298 entries, creating a 50-year high of more than $293m in prize money.

The highly anticipated series will take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It is scheduled to start on May 26th and last until July 14th, 2020. The prestigious Main Event runs from July 1 to 14.

888poker is the only operator that offers poker players from outside the United States the opportunity to qualify through its online platform.

The operator will also host various online promotions and campaigns including multi-step satellite tournaments, with buy-ins starting from 1 cent.

WSOP has recently announced 25 Events with $1,500 Buy-Ins.
