WSOP Europe 2013 Schedule Announced
Over the last couple of weeks here at PokerNet.com we have brought you up to date with the schedules for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the WSOP Circuit Tour. Well today we can bring all the latest news for the WSOP Europe (WSOPE) event which will be held later this year in France.
This year will be the 7th running of the WSOPE and as usual there are a good mixture of events to choose from. This years event is being held in France at the Casino Barrière Enghien-les-Bains, which is located just a few miles away from the capital Paris. The casino is actually the oldest in France and this years event will get under way on Saturday 12th October and run until Friday 25th October.
The Main Event does not start until Saturday 19th October and as usual there will be two day ones with a buy-in of €10,000 + €450. The first event of this years series will be a No Limit Hold’em event, an event that will also feature two day ones and have a buy-in of €1,000 + €100.
The WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart had the following to say about this years event in France. He said, “New tournament dates and 12 million Parisians have us aiming for the largest Main Event in Europe. Baguettes and Bracelets, Champagne and Cash, we think is a winning recipe for the 2013 WSOP Europe.”
It certainly sounds like a recipe for success and the organisers will be hoping to entice all of the worlds leading players to this years event, and they would love nothing better than to beat the record number of entrants to the main event which currently stands at 593, a number that was achieved in 2011. Notable winners of the main event in recent years are Annette Obrestad (2007), John Juanda (2008), Barry Shulman (2009) and Phil Hellmuth (2012), and it would be great if they were all to enter again this year.
