Vanessa Selbst Earns Another Crack At Party Poker Premier League Title
Team PokerStars professional poker player Vanessa Selbst is running hot right now, and now it seems things are getting even better for the poker pro as it has been announced she will take part in the $125,000 buy-in partypoker.com Premier League Poker VII Main Event later this year.
The partypoker.com Premier League Poker VII Main Event runs from Wednesday 20th until Tuesday 26th November and will be held at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada. Other notable players have already been confirmed for this years event include, Jeff Gross, Phil Laak, Tong G and Antonio Esfandiari. It will be the second time Selbst has appeared at the prestigious event with her first appearance coming two years ago in 2011 where she failed to get through the preliminary rounds.
Speaking yesterday about her inclusion at this years Main Event Selbst said, “I had so much fun playing the Premier League in 2011. It’s such a fun, innovative, and mentally challenging structure. I’m excited it has come to North America and thrilled to be able to play it again, especially in a new short-handed format.”
In all 12 players will compete at the event in November and will be spilt into two groups of six, where they will compete to earn their place at the final table. This years winner will walk away with $350,000 and follow in the footsteps of previous winners Andy Black, Scott Seiver and JC Tran to name just three.
Selbst is no stranger to success as she already has two World Series of Poker bracelets to her name, and only last month finished second in the World Poker Tour Borgata Open. Earlier this week she also claimed another major title when she won the UKIPT High Roller Event, and her live tournament winnings stand well in excess of $8million, and all at the tender age of just 29. The way Vanessa Selbst is playing right now she has to be a serious contender for the partypoker.com Premier League VII Main Event when the action gets underway in a little over six weeks time.
