Relax Gaming Deals with Kindred to Take Online Poker to France
Online Poker players in France will soon be able to enjoy Relax Gaming’s poker products thanks to their new deal with Kindred. The launch is expected in the second quarter of the year and will mark the first time Relax’s brand of poker has entered this European country.
Casino games developer and platform supplier Relax Gaming will launch its poker products via its extended supply deal with Kindred Group.
The two extended their long-term partnership a month ago and Kindred fist went live with Relax’s table games. Their cost-effective Roulette and Blackjack titles have been made available to the group’s brands, including Unibet, MariaCasino, and 32Red, providing players with high-quality user experience. The poker offering is expected to follow in a month, including the new poker product HexaPro.
Relax Gaming’s CEO, Daniel Eskola, said that poker was always the focus of their offering and that entering France and continuing collaboration with Kindred is significant for the company.
“We remain committed to the continued delivery of superior quality products to Kindred, but we’re opening the door for product growth further down the line by adding more operators and jurisdictions as demand dictates.”
Relax Gaming recently appointed NetEnt’s former executive Simon Hammon as Chief Product Officer to strengthen their product distribution. HexaPro was released in December and features a game format where the customer can win up to 1,000 times their stake in minutes, with only two opponents. Relax has said this poker variant is hugely popular in the French market.
Chief operating officer, Martin Stalros, agreed on how online poker is important for the company.
“We have gained success with this product in many of Kindred’s other markets already and I’m very excited with the opportunity to give even more poker players the chance to enjoy the Relax Gaming poker experience, with a foundation built to be fun, fair and exciting.”
Relax is not the only operator that has recently made its move towards entering the French market. SBTech also announced they will grow their presence in the key regulated territories including France, Sweden, Pennsylvania and South Africa.
France enjoyed year-on-year growth across all three legal iGaming verticals in 2018, with poker rake for cash games up 5% to €258 million. Total revenue for the market was up 25% to €1.2billion but the market is still fragile due to the marginal growth in poker and horse racing.
