Rafael Nadal To Promote PokerStars

Not only is tennis superstar Rafael Nadal busy winning Tennis championships, but he will already be getting busy promoting PokerStars and learning poker in the process. He has just been signed on to become the newest ambassador for PokerStars with already a contest underway.

The Tennis champ will be learning the game from PokerStars pro poker players and will help the online poker site to promote online poker inSpain.Spainhas just given government licenses to online poker sites and one has already been secured by PokerStars.

In a release, Nadal was quoted saying how much he loved competing and that he has tried his best to compete in different sports and even video games. “When I discovered the game of poker, I chose to join PokerStars because they understand what it takes to be the best and associate themselves with the qualities of champions,” said Nadal in his PokerStars release. He also says that he is very happy working with PokerStars.

For the rest of the summer, Nadal will be busy with tennis, but as soon as his schedule clears up, he will be starting to represent PokerStars in online poker tournaments, advertising campaigns and charity poker events.

Nadal will also have his own PokerStars page where his journey to the world of poker will be featured. A new Twitter hashtag – #nadalpoker – has also been created to so fans of Nadal can send him messages through Twitter.

PokerStars is also holding a contest to help Nadal learn how to play poker. Poker players will have to send a video with a top poker tip for Nadal and this already becomes their entry to the contest. Exclusive prizes will be given to those who have given him the best advice.

The player with the best video tip will win an EPT Barcelona prize package for the upcoming EPT Barcelona event on August 19-25. This package will include 5,300 Euros Main Event buy-in, eight nights hotel accommodation and 1,500 Euros for their expenses.

The winner along with five runners-up will receive a chipset signed by Nadal himself. Everyone who submits good videos will also get a $22 MicroMillions Main Event tournament ticket.
