Qualifiers To The World’s Second Longest Running Poker Tournament Available Now
Anyone who has the slightest bit of knowledge about poker will tell you that the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the longest running poker tournament in the world, but how many people will be able to name the second, not too many no doubt! It is in fact the Irish Open, which is the second longest running tournament in the world and the longest running in Europe, and this years event will be the 32nd running of the prestigious tournament.
The Paddy Power Irish Poker Open will again be held at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Dublin (Formerly known as The Burlington Hotel), and as per usual it will be held over the Easter weekend starting on Friday 18th April and culminating with the final table on Monday 21st April. The buy-in for this years event is again set at a very competitive €2,000 with a registration fee of €250, making it one of the cheaper Main Events that is found throughout the poker season. The event is a No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout Event with 60 minute levels, with all players receiving a huge stack of 30,000 chips.
Sponsors Paddy Power are already running satellites to this years event right up until Thursday 17th April, with ticket only satellites running every Wednesday and Thursday until April 17th.
