Partypoker Named Operator of the Year for Third Consecutive Time
It has been another great year for one of the most popular poker rooms – Partypoker!
The GVC’s subsidiary has won the Poker Operator of the Year award at the EGR Operator Awards 2019 for the third year in a row.
Often referred to as the Oscars of еGaming, The EGR Operator Awards ceremony is a big event which recognizes the best of the best in the eGaming industry. The premium event took place at Grosvenor House Hotel in London and it was hosted by award-winning comedian Mark Watson this year.
The prizes were handed out to the top performing operators and affiliates over the past 12 months.
Across a diverse selection of categories, Partypoker’s parent company GVC Holdings has beaten nine other nominees, including bet365, Betsson Group, Coingaming, Fortuna Entertainment Group, Hero Gaming, LeoVegas, Lottoland, The Stars Group, and William Hill.
Kenneth Alexander, GVC’s CEO commented on receiving the awards:
“We are very proud to be recognised with these prestigious awards. This is a real tribute to the dedication and skills of our hard-working teams. They have been able to create a best-in-class customer offer at the same time as delivering a major integration.”
At the prestigious awards ceremony, there were 31 prizes in total. They were voted for by an independent panel of industry experts.
This included Operator of the Year award which GVC took home for the third time. The judging panel stated GVC group gained “remarkable top line momentum despite distractions from the Ladbrokes Coral integration, with the firm also adhering to, and arguably leading, responsible gambling initiatives.”
When Partypoker won the award for the first time two years ago, it ended three consecutive victories for PokerStars so it will be interesting to see whether Partypoker will be able to maintain the supremacy.
