Party Poker to Double the Title Fight Prize Pool
Title Fight, held every Sunday at 14:00 ET / 20:00 CET, is the biggest weekly tournament at Party Poker considering the prize it involves.
This $215 buy-in event boasts guaranteed $250,000 in prize money so far, but starting October 1, guarantee of the Title Fight is set to double to whopping $500,000.
Every other aspect of the tournament remains the same which means the buy-in is still $215 and you can still register up until the end of level 15 and re-enter twice. This tournament is slotted between the $109 Main Event and $530 High Roller, and represents one of the favourite tournaments of several Party Poker pros including Natalia Breviglieri.
“The Title Fight is a regular fixture in my week that’s now about to get bigger and better,” Breviglieri said, adding that the boosted guarantee provides “excellent value” for players.
The Polish Party Poker pro, Dzmitry Urbanovich, has just wrapped up the $35 million guaranteed Powerfest last weekend and can’t wait for the Title Fight to start.
“After the huge guarantees during Powerfest, increasing the guarantee of the weekly Title Fight to $500,000 is fantastic news,” Dzmitry said.
Thanks to the dozens of satellites that will run every day of the week, at least 150 seats are guaranteed to be won as such. Those satellites are starting from as little as $1.10 and offer a great chance for all poker players to earn their place in the main event. Partypoker is definitely making sure that players of all levels and bankrolls have a chance to participate. Other satellite entry fees for the flagship Sunday tournament are $8.80 and $44.
Since the number of entrants affect the eventual payouts and considering the last two $500,000 guaranteed events saw the lucky winner gross $82,000, the first prize here is also expected to stand at around $80,000.
Party Poker has been making brave advances among the leading poker rooms recently. Powerfest and a software upgrade last month are just the beginning of Party Poker’s attempt to attract more players and increase player traffic.
A phase 2 software enhancement is coming at the end of the year and players can expect more tournaments with guaranteed prize pools.
