Matt Marafioti Accused Of Hacking Other Players’ Accounts
Poker Pro Matt Marafioti is reported to have been accused of conspiring to hack accounts of other poker players through the assistance of another player, Samer Rahman. This was first reported on the TwoPlusTwo.com forum. Allegations have not been proved nor confirmed by other news websites, but administrators of the forum site have elected to keep the forum post up.
Marafioti was also the same person who lashed out at ex-girlfriend and fellow poker player, Lauren Kling, on Twitter. This alleged conspiracy between Marafioti and Rahman dates back to January 2012 where a conversation on Skype was generated.
A member of the forum site, CraigMarg, said that the conversation was a chat log saying how Marafioti wanted to exploit other poker players together with a certain Samer Rahman.
“It’s a chat log of adz discussing how he wants to do some superuseresque [sic] exploiting of his fellow poker players with a Samer Rahman. Basically it should be read from the bottom up. Seems like according to the chat log adz was approached by an acquaintance about be party to scamming fellow hsnl regs via hole card viewing. The second part of the transcription is adz being really excited and wanting to start trying to compromise people’s computers at this years past PCA,” said CraigMarg
There are also mentions of the Alladiin account on Full Tilt Poker that had scammed players through requesting coaching and then infecting coaches’ computers with a hole card viewing Trojan. There are clues that linked both people to the account. Also, it is said that adz has multiple accounts in the gaming world.
Despite these rumors, Marafioti remains to be a great force inside the poker circuit with wins in six live poker events this year. He had won at the 5th Annual Empire State Hold’em Championships a whopping $198,473.
Marafioti has denied such allegations against him and has taken it out on Twitter to contest all accusations. Rahman has not released a statement so far. We can remember Rahman as being accused of cheating on Finnish poker player Patrik Antonius in the past.
