Jason Mercier Covers the Lead with More Than a 500 Point Spread
Jason Mercier has lead the way with a 500 point spread in the race for 2016 WSOP Player of the Year. Benny Glaser and Martin Kozlov are heading up respectively in the 2nd and 3rd place.
This year’s World Series of Poker has already went past its half-way point, WSOP Player of the Year which is powered by the Global Poker Index remaining to take shape as it always does. This year with no other WSOP series being played elsewhere, the 2016 WSOP Player of the Year will be solely determined by the open bracelet events that are played at the Rio All-Suites Casino and Hotel.

In First place is player Jason Mercier with 1782.65 8 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Points, as he won the $10K 2-7 NL (#16), won the $10K H.O.R.S.E. (#24), Came in 2nd place in the $10K Razz (#20), and came in 8th place in the $10K Omaha Hi-Low (#32).
In Second place is player Martin Kozlov with 1252.58 5 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Points, as he won $10K NLH 6-Max (#39), and came in 5th place in the $3K NLH 6-Max (#21).
In Third place is player Benny Glaser with 1156.57 4 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Points, as he won the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low (#26), won the $10K Omaha Hi-Low (#32), and came in 5th place in the $10K 2-7 NL (#16).
In Fourth place is player Benny Glaser with 1125.12 5 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Points, as he came in 5th place in the $10K Dealer’s Choice (#11), and 5th place in the $10K H.O.R.S.E. (#24), and 7th place in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker (#14).
