Italian Poker Tour Announce Neteller As Sponsor For This Season

The attention of the poker world is centred around the annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) right now, and rightly so, as it is the pinnacle of the poker season and every players dream to play at the yearly event in Las Vegas. Here at PokerNet.com we try and bring you news from around the world and today is the turn of the Italian Poker Tour (IPT), and we can bring you news of a new sponsorship deal for this seasons tour, a deal that will see Neteller be the tours main sponsor.

Neteller are a part of Optimal Payments PLC and they have signed a deal with PokerStars and the Pagano Group, both of which form the IPT. Lorenzo Pellegrino is the Vice President at Optical Payments and he had the following to say about the new sponsorship deal when it was announced earlier this week. He said, “We are excited to sponsor a series of events like the Italian Poker Tour and to provide our support. For many years Neteller has been offering a system of services able to meet the needs of operators and users in the gaming industry.”

Luca Pagano CEO for the IPT is “honoured” that Neteller chose to sponsor Season Five of the IPT. He said, “We are honoured that Neteller has chosen the Italian Poker Tour as its partner for Italy as this demonstrates the company’s recognition of our brand’s values and the work we have done over the years. This is a very important agreement, which brings together a valuable global company and the biggest Italian poker tour.”

The first leg of the IPT gets under way today in San Marino and will run for five days. The venue for this years tour opener is the Giochi del Titano Casino and a large field is expected to get the tour under way despite many of Europe’s top players being on the other side of the world playing in Las Vegas at the WSOP.
