HPT Golden Gates Winner for the Second Time – Cord Garcia

Out of a field of 787 poker players Cord Garcia Topped them all in order to win the 2017 Heartland Poker Tour Golden Gates $1,650.00 no-limit hold’em main event.  Cord went home with a total winning of $248.732.00 as well as his second HPT main event title.  Incredibly Cord won this very same event about five months ago, in which he topped a field of 488 poker players for a total of $168,988.00.

This time around Cord who won the first ever WSOP Colossus event that took place back in the year of 2015, not only was dealing with a much larger playing field but he was also dealing with a much more accomplished final table.  Joining him at the final table was Dan O’Brien who took 2nd place with a total winning of $153,982.00, Zo Karim who took 5th place with a total winning of $50,903.00 and Ben Keeline who took 6th place with a total winning of $39,103.00.

In addition to the money and the title Cord also earned 912 Cardplayer – Player of the Year Points.  This was just enough to place him in the 28th spot in the overall standings,  which are to be presented at the Commerce Casino and Hotel in 2017.

1st place went to player Cord Garcia with a total winning of $248,732.00, and a total of 912 POY points.

2nd place went to player Dan O’Brien with a total winning of $153,982.00, and a total of 760 POY points.

3rd place went to player Andrew Dean with a total winning of $100,881.00, and a total of 608 POY points.

4th place went to player Sead Vasquez with a total winning of $69,760.00, and a total of 456 POY points.

5th place went to player Zohair Karim with a total winning of $50,903.00, and a total of 380 POY points.
