The 4th Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series gets underway this week, and as always it is being held at Caesars Palace in partnership with the National Collegiate Athletic Association of America (NCAA).

This years event will commence this coming Thursday, 20th March, and will run for 10 days through until March 30th. Players of all levels are invited to take part, providing they are over the age of 21, with events being held on a daily basis. Buy-ins start at a moderate $130, with the largest buy-in being that of $350 for the Three Day Championship Main Event which starts on Friday 28th March.

Bill O’Connell is the Poker Operations Manager at Caesars Palace and he is “excited” about his years event. Speaking earlier today he said, “We are excited that the Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series is returning for our guests and locals. This is the most exciting time of the year for college basketball, where any team has a shot at winning it all. Poker is also a game where anyone with a chip and a chair is a threat to take home the title. This is the ultimate place for sports fans and poker fans to come together to compete and show their skills.”

As well as tournament play there will be daily satellites taking place at 9am each morning, with regular cash games taking place too. If you are in the vicinity of Caesars Palace over the next week or so you should really make an effort to take in a game or two at one of the best new tournaments around, the Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series.
