There has been a whole lot going on in the World of Poker during this current week.  There is the EPT Barcelona as well as the huge tournament taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel that is located in Florida, as well as the PokerStars WCOOP coming up.  Twitter as well as other social media sites has been known to be frequently used in the poker world, and not just to give fans updates on players chip counts as well as bust out details.  On many of these sites players also list personal things such as their favorite movie,  they also use these sites to debate on the US Presidential election as well as sharing other updates.

I Bet You

There was a show that was called I Bet You that starred Phil Laak and Antonio Estandiari where these two challenged each other as a camera crew followed their each and every step.  Laak or Esfandiari create some very crazy prop bets as both of these guys would bet some very big bucks in order to make it fun for their fans to watch as well as keep score.  The first two seasons of this show was moderately popular, then when the third season came along it was announced but never came through.

Although this show is no longer being aired, these prop bets are not totally gone from the world of poker.  In fact, prop bets that are between players have been seen to dominate much of the social media coverage.  Not too long ago Estandiari was in fact DQ’ed from the PCA after he was caught peeing in a bottle, a choice that he made due to his legs being way too sore after sitting so long while competing in a 50 thousand dollar lunge bet against Bill Perkins.
