888poker to Host XL Blizzard Series in April
One of the world’s biggest online poker websites 888poker has announced the full schedule of events for the XL Blizzard with affordable buy-ins and huge guarantees.
The best thing about the XL Blizzard 2019 is that any player can take part regardless of the size of his bankroll considering the buy-ins range from $5.50 to $320. There are also satellites where players can get into events for even less money or even for free.
Poker players will have a lot of opportunities to get their game going at this extensive tournament played between 4 and 14 April. The XL Blizzard features 34 events spread across a two-week period and players of all wallet sizes will get the chance to take their share of $1.7 million total guaranteed prize pool.
The series kicks off on 4 April with the $100.000 Opening Event which features $109 buy-in and blind levels increasing every 15 minutes. Aside from the $100.000 Opening Event on 4 April, there will also be a $20.000 Mini Opening Event and a $20.000 Late Opening Event, with a buy-in of $16.50 and $55 respectively. XL Blizzard Crazy Events are scheduled for 6 April with buy-ins up to $88 and up to $30.000 guaranteed.
The lowest $5 buy-in event on the schedule, $10.000GTD Mini R&A, happens on 8 April. There will be plenty of PKOs, DeepStack, 6-Max and 8-Max events spread across the rest of the schedule. Buy-ins begin from $16.50, with guaranteed prize pools reaching $75.000.
Another big event is $320 buy-in High Roller, taking place on 9 April. Players will compete for a guaranteed prize pool of $100.000. The High Roller event follows a slightly faster pace than the Opening Event, with 50.000 in starting chips played in 12-minute levels. Players are also allowed up to three reentries and late registration closes after 200 minutes.
In order to encourage more players to participate, 888poker has even reduced a buy-in for the Main Event to $250, down from last year’s $1.050. The Main Event takes place on 14 April and features a massive $500.000 guarantee.
Players begin with 50.000 chips and blind levels increase every 20 minutes. Up to three reentries are allowed, and players can late-register within a five-hour limit. Mini Main Event will follow this Main Event on the same day with a $33 buy-in and $50.000 guaranteed.
