888poker Adds Sam Abernathy and Jordan Banfield to Ambassador Roster

888poker has recruited the likes of Sam Abernathy and Jordan Banfield to the brand.

Professional poker player Sam Abernathy is the latest big name to link up with the platform as an 888poker ambassador. Abernathy joins up with the likes of Dominik Nitsche, Vivian Saliba, Kara Scott and Sofia Lovgren.

Abernathy’s arrival follows the departure of Chris Moorman, who left the online platform in August this year. With big shoes to fill, the United States national is relishing the challenge ahead.

“I’m looking forward to growing as a player with 888poker,” Abernathy said. “Reconnecting with friends on the felt, and my hope is just to inspire others to take the leap in their own journey to play this great game.”

Abernathy has amassed quite the following on social media with 95.5k followers on Instagram and a further 20k on Twitter, so she has great reach in the poker community which is no doubt a coup for 888poker. Her best score in a live event came in the AUS$10,000 + 600 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the 2016 Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne. Her third place finish netted the player $437,543 as well as a legion a fans after being on the right side of this classic poker hand.

The second name to be welcomed into the 888poker fold is Canadian poker player and popular streamer Jordan Banfield. Banfield shares the same enthusiasm of his new colleague and was thrilled to join the online platform.

The acquisition of Banfield, with his 9.1k strong following on Twitch, will allow the brand to grow their exposure on the online felts.
