PartyPoker Welcomes Coral Poker to Its Platform
It has been announced that Coral Poker will be joining the Partypoker’s network. This GVC brand will be moving from Playtech’s iPoker Network to partypoker, a brand also owned by GVC.
Later in the month, Coral Poker will be closing its iPoker skin and will migrate over to the partypoker network. Coral group announced the move via a newsletter that said:
“We’re making big changes: Coral Poker are joining the GVC PartyPoker network, the safest and most established poker network in the world.
These changes won’t affect your cash balance, but unfortunately they will reset your Poker Points and Bonus balances. Points, Bonuses, Golden Chips & Free Spins will remain in your account until 23:59 on 3rd December, 2019.“
When Coral Poker notified the players of the move, they had little time to make use of all their bonuses, tickets and VIP benefits. This sudden announcement took many of them by surprise and they were left wondering why the move should take place now.
Though this decision might seem surprising at first, it isn’t actually that out of place considering that both owned by online gaming giant GVC Holdings.
Moreover, GVC’s aim for the partypoker network is to make it the biggest in the world, so it makes sense they wanted to add a great number of players from player base as strong as the Coral one. This is the sixth poker room to join the partypoker’s network.
“This will bring a number of huge benefits to Coral players who will now have access to partypoker’s larger liquidity pool and the network’s popular and diverse tournament schedule, all while enjoying the superior playing experience on our leading software which has seen partypoker named Poker Operator of the Year for three years running,” the GVC Group stated.
Moreover, it was confirmed that the Ladbrokes skin, acquired by GVC in 2018, would also follow the Coral’s footsteps and migrate to Partypoker in Q1 2020.
