The American players of Cake Network received a huge surprise yesterday when the company declared that it will no longer taking their action. All of the affiliate partners and players of the company received the news through an e-mail.

The e-mail stated that the Cake Network Affiliates program has contracted with Juicy Stakes Games Ltd. in a new affiliate program that will include the American players. Company officials are expecting a smooth transition for affiliate partners and players.

This is actually not the first massive change that players of Cake Poker have experienced this year. Earlier this week Juicy Stakes Poker bought all of Cake’s US players including Fugu Poker, Colt Poker and Hilife Poker’s American players.

Although the company has not made any official announcement, the movements and changes are probably aimed at right with the US Department of Justice. Poker sites that are currently taking US players are not likely to get in on legal online poker in the United States.
