PokerStars Live Returns to Madrid

PokerStars has announced the details of its live events scheduled for Spain including a new addition to the European Poker Tour (EPT), the EPT Open Madrid. This new event for an old favourite marks the first EPT event to be held in this Spanish city since EPT Grand Final Madrid in 2011 so it’s a huge deal.

The brand new Spanish stop will take place in Casino Grand Madrid from 22 to 30 June. The second event of its kind after last year’s EPT Open Sochi, the Open format brings the same PokerStars-sponsored EPT experience at lower buy-ins, with the Main Event buy-in of €1,100.

After the EPT Open in Madrid, the tour moves to EPT Barcelona, which returns to Casino Barcelona from August 20 to 1 September. This event currently holds the record for the most entrants of any EPT Main Event with 1931 entries, generating a prize pool of over €9.3 million.

EPT Barcelona is the third stop on the EPT 2019 schedule after EPT Sochi in March and EPT Monte Carlo in April. PokerStars is also supporting Campeonato Espana de Poker (CEP) in 2019 which will take place in February. CEP attracted worldwide attention after producing the winner of the historic PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship in January when Ramon Colillas turned a free entry into the PSPC into $5.1 million.

PokerStars has also announced two flagship events on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, in Korea and Philippines.

APPT Korea is taking place from 5 to 14 April at Paradise City Resort and Casino in Incheon complex that will include APPT Korea Kick Off, APPT Korea National and APPT KoreaHigh-Roller Events. Then the tour moves to Manila where Okada Manila will host the APPT from 26 July to 4 August.

With its amazing seafront, Manila happens to be one of the most eagerly awaited poker destinations in the world.

But the best thing of all is that PokerStars Live at Okada Manila will officially be launched on 9 February during the first ever Okada Manila Millions event that will take place between 5 and 10 February, featuring 13 events.

With such action-packed poker season, your only choice is to just pick your city and book a ticket.
