On Sunday the third running of the PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) came to an end, and during the 11 day festival in which $15million of prize money was awarded one player made history and became a unique member of PokerStars Triple Crown Winners at the virtual felt, and that player was Shawn Buchanan.

Shawn “buck21” Buchanan had already won two Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) events and a World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) event at PokerStars during his career, and after his latest triumph he now has a unique Triple Crown after winning Event 33 at this years TCOOP.

Buchanan won his first PokerStars Championship back in 2007 when he won the WCOOP $530 Pot Limit Omaha Event for $97,262, then in 2012 he won the $2,100 Razz Event at the SCOOP to claim another title and $44,145. On Sunday he completed the Triple Crown and took to his Twitter account to announce the news. He tweeted, “Just binked the RAZZ TCOOP lol my last 4 razz mtts I think I came 1st 2nd 3rd and 1st on stars #rungoodinrazzneeda50kwsopRAZZ event!”

Buchanan’s latest win may have only pocketed him a mere $14,714, but it is still a truly great achievement from the poker pro, and who knows he could well become the first ever player to win a Grand Slam at the virtual felt if he were to win a PokerStars Sunday Million event in the not to distant future.
