Alands Penningautomatforening (PAF), a Finnish gambling monopoly has publicised that it plans to develop ‘an enhanced poker experience’ right after signing an arrangement with online gaming software provider Microgaming.

PAF is among the biggest online gambling providers for the Scandinavian market and mentioned that the contract, which will see it be a part of the Microgaming Poker Network early next year, has been developed as a ‘complement’ to provide ‘added value’ to its clients and not as a substitute for existing deals it has with Ongame Network Limited and Boss Media AB.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer for PAF, Anders Wiklund said “Playing poker at PAF should feel like playing among friends,”

“In the beginning of next year, the poker site at PAF.com will be renewed. Playing will become easier and the feeling of playing among friends stronger. We will modify the surroundings to also accommodate those who are not that familiar with poker.

PAF stated that it is ‘continually looking to develop its collaboration with suppliers’ in order that it may carry out its ‘play among friends’ corporate technique.

“We are very satisfied to initiate collaborative efforts with Microgaming, which is a strong and broad network,” said Wiklund.
“We believe that the collaboration will be profitable for PAF as a company and bring our customers added value in the form of an enhanced gaming experience.”

For its part, Microgaming called the deal ‘great news’ and said that it was ‘very much looking forward’ to working with ‘such a unique operator’.

“The technological and managerial advances we have made with the Microgaming Poker Network over the last year makes it the natural choice for operators and we are confident that the Microgaming Poker Network will meet all of PAF’s requirements,” said Lydia Melton, Network Games Head for Microgaming.
