The Asia-Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) is as popular as ever, so much so that the organisers have today announced an additional stop on this years season eight tour, with Manila in the Philippines being the chosen venue.

The addition stop will be the first time the APPT has visited Manila in four years, with this years event starting on Wednesday 2nd July and running through until Monday 7th July, with the event taking place at The Metro Card Club.

Danny McDonagh is the President of the APPT and he is “really excited” about the additional stop on this years schedule as he said, “We’re really excited about the announcement. Manila has a very passionate poker community and the team at The Metro has always been a pleasure to work with. There’s been an overwhelming demand for the APPT to host an event here so we’re looking to make this the best Manila event ever after a four year hiatus.”

The first day of the schedule will see qualifiers for the Main Event taking place, with the PHP10,000 Manila Cup opening proceedings on Day 2, with the PHP50,000 Main Event starting on Friday 4th July with the first of two Day 1’s and running for four days in total before coming to an end on Monday 7th July.
