Pay attention all you UK Poker fans. If you are stuck for something to do this coming Bank Holiday weekend fear not as there are two great poker tournaments taking place on your shores, one in Newcastle and one in Brighton, both of which are expected to be well attended which means big money payouts!

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is now in its eight season and returns to Brighton and the Grosvenor Casino Seafront for the latest leg of the tour. Highlight of the five day festival is without doubt the £550 Main Event, an event that features two day 1’s and a guaranteed prize pool of £100,000. Action gets underway today at 1pm, Thursday 1st May with Day 1a, with Day 1b starting at the same time on Friday 2nd May.

There are also a couple of affordable satellites available for the main event too, with a host of other events being held over the next few days, all of which will give UK poker players the chance to walk away with some serious cash.

At the other end of the country Aspers Casino in Newcastle will be the hosting the fourth leg of the inaugural PartyPoker World Poker National UK Poker Tour, and if this weekend proves to be as popular as the three previous events players are in for a great weekend. Space is limited at Aspers, but organisers are still expecting a field of around 300 for the £200 Accumulator Main Event, an event that has a guarantee of £50,000.

As with the event in Brighton there will be plenty of side action available in Newcastle this weekend with a £80 8 Max Bounty Tournament and a £110 Turbo Deepstack Event being just two of the highlights. All in all it promises to be a great weekend of poker in the UK with some big prizes on offer and we will of course bring you up to date with all the winners next week.
