OteetO, an Irish social games developer has publicised that its trivia-based online poker game Texas Ask’Em Poker has closed a one-time match ball sponsorship deal which will cover the forthcoming clash between English sides AFC Wimbledon and Port Vale.

The N Power League Two contest is set to occur at The Dons’ Cherry Red Records Stadium on 24 January and will be shown live via Sky Sports giving the developer an opportunity to advertise Texas Ask’Em Poker to a global audience.

Simon Hood from OteetO and a lifelong fan of the south London club said “We are delighted to be part of what will be a historic night for AFC Wimbledon,”

“We hope to welcome lots of new AFC Wimbledon fans to our online Texas Ask’Em Poker community where they can use their football knowledge to help win some poker hands as well as have the opportunity to chat across the poker table with other AFC Wimbledon fans.”

Texas Ask’Em Poker, which can be downloaded via Apple’s App Store and also on Facebook, is geared towards poker and trivia fans alike as it perceives players select from table topics that interest them before going on to compete against like-minded individuals. Players answer a multiple choice question at the beginning of each hand with the fastest correct responder given the best of the randomly dealt starting Texas hold‘em hands. Since releasing it has been installed over 100,000 times and accumulated almost 20,000 likes with players sending some one million invites to their friends.

A statement from OteetO said “Be warned though being fast and wrong gives you no benefits,”

“At the end of each hand all players get to see the correct answer. So even if you win lots of chips or lose lots of chips you are sure to leave the table more knowledgeable than when you joined it.”
