The Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham, England are fast becoming one of the most recognisable haunts in the world due to the vast array of great live poker tournaments that they stage on a regular basis. They have now announced that the World Poker Tour (WPT) will be heading for the venue this coming November, and there will not be one, but two events that have a £1million guaranteed prize pool.

The WPT is heading for Nottingham this November for a 17 day festival of poker, a festival that is already being talked about on poker blogs across the globe. The festival gets underway on Friday 7th November running through until Sunday 23rd November with the blue riband £3,000 Main Event commencing on Tuesday 18th November.

The WPT National Event is the second £1million event to be held during the festival, an event that has been given a £500 buy-in. The Nottingham poker rooms have said that they will be holding regular evening tournaments over the next five months in order to qualify as many people as they can to the prestigious event, as well as holding regular qualifying events for the Main Event too.

As well as the two £1million guaranteed events, events that are sure to attract some of the games biggest names, there is the prospect of a third £1million guaranteed event being added to the schedule. The proposed event is the £10,000 High Roller Event and Dusk Till Dawn’s Tournament Director Simon Trumper is heading for Las Vegas and the World Series of Poker to test the water to see if he can lure some of the games biggest names to Nottingham in November.

It is great to see the UK holding such prestigious events and everyone at Dusk Till Dawn should be applauded, Simon Trumper in particular, for their efforts in staging the upcoming WPT later this year.
