This years World Series of Poker (WSOP) was as usual a great success with records broken across the board. Some players will have remembered it for all the right reasons while others no doubt will put their early exits down to bad luck and a bad beat or two. One player though will certainly remember it for all the right reasons as she was the last Australian and the last women left standing in this years Main Event, an achievement that has seen her awarded with a contract with 888Poker.

The women in question is Jackie Glazier from Australia, and while she may be a new name to some she is well known on the poker scene and has some great cashes to her name. This year she came 31st in the Main Event, taking home $229,281, which was her third cash in four years in the blue ribbon event of poker and her sixth at the WSOP in total.

As well as being the last woman standing at this years Main Event Glazier has some notable other cashes to her name. Last year in Event 41 at the WSOP she came 2nd out of 1,394 players and took home $458,996, and on top of that she has had some notable wins in her career with two coming in her homeland in the ANZPT.

Speaking about her new contract with 888Poker Glazier said, “I am so excited to be joining Team 888poker. I look forward to heaps of fun playing poker all around the world with such a great group of people.”
