The Final Event during the Warm up Series was taken down by Steve Cantatore.

The Western New York Poker Challenge Warm up series final event was won by Steve Cantatore with a total winning of $6,484.00, as well as taking the title away from Arthur Gates.

There was nothing great about the final hand, it was standard, with Arthur Gates getting in with an ace-high and Steve Cantatore calling with a king jack suited.  The flop was a king high and with this Arthur Gates just was unable to catch up, which put him in the runner up place with a total winning of $4,015.00.

While Arthur Gate steamrolled his way through the final table, Steve Cantatore sat back patiently and picked spots with care.  The ultimate turning point of this hand was when he was all in with pocket 8’s as he ran into Arthur Gates’ pocket jacks. There was ultimately an 8 on the flop as well as the river, thus giving Steve quads.  Steve Cantatore never looked back as he continued to chip away at Arthur Gates before he secured the win.
